TCP Group strongly believes that the only way forward is sustainable growth. Achievements disregarding sustainability are not true achievements for the greater good and given a fast paced and ever-changing society, sustainability must hold its ground and remain ingrained at the core of the company’s principles. TCP’s mindset is that long-term goals must take precedence over short term visions and successes. Ensuring that profit and sustainability go hand in hand creating a harmonic balance.
Saravoot Yoovidhya, Chief Executive Officer TCP Group said
“Sustainable growth is not just a phrase that sounds pleasant to the ears, nor does it only mean looking after the society and the environment. With the presence of global and national challenges, economic growth must be addressed alongside major issues of the world such as climate change, resource accessibility and inequality. Sustainable growth is a fundamental aspect towards the principles and strategies of TCP Group. Sustainability is not solely viewed as a strategy but as a practice that enables more efficiency and the adaptability to respond to modern consumers, while expanding our sustainability initiatives further as time progresses.”
He mentioned how continuing businesses in a traditional structure is no longer an effective way forward and there must be the additions of two elements which are rebalancing and reinvention. Rebalancing is the re-evaluation of plans and policies that are presently in use, allowing them to be adaptable to change. Reinvention is the allowing of innovations in different aspects to persist thus altering the current methods in place in a positive manner.
The TCP Group abides by the sustainable development framework, “TCP Sustainability” Its structure is composed of Integrity, Quality and Harmony. This aligns as intended with their new goal “Ignite Energy for a Better Tomorrow”, through the three strategies: Ignite Brand Energy, Ignite Business Growth and Ignite Environmental Care. TCP also has four key sustainability objectives: Excellent products, Circular Economy, Low- Carbon Economy and Sustainable Water Management.
Microsoft Thailand partners with TCP Group and brings technology especially AI technology from Microsoft to aid them in striving towards their goals.
Dhanawat Suthumpun, Managing Director, Microsoft (Thailand) Ltd. said
“Don’t be afraid of AI stealing your jobs but instead be afraid that the people who use AI will steal your jobs”
The global economy is declining and has faced numerous pushbacks and obstacles. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicts the world economic growth will be at 3% this year (2025), compared to 2.8% in 2024. AI has inadvertently caused many disruptions but the contrasting good still outweighs the negatives. However, matters of concern and acceptance are still battling to find balance. Despite all this there is no denying that AI is a critical driver of change, keeping businesses evaluating their strategies with a much more careful and cautious approach. Adaptability has been highlighted as an irreplaceable trait to have in these uncertain times as AI adapts us and we adapt AI.
TCP has created a well thought out framework for business growth under the concept of “Sustainable Growth: The Future of Growth”. The 3 crucial pillars of this concept are Growth Diversification, Operational Efficiency and Competitive Excellence and Future-Ready Foundation.
1.Growth Diversification– focuses on innovations and developments while also seeking out opportunities in different sectors. This allows for continuous upgrades both in their systems and products along with their mindsets which will prevent them from falling behind.
2.Operational Efficiency and Competitive Excellence– to home in on their skills to further improve efficiency to achieve a higher productivity level but also making sure the quality of work remains suitable and safe and does not falter as a result.
3.Future-Ready Foundation– Strengthening environmental, social and governance (ESG) practises to promote sustainability with an emphasis on long term visions and an openness to adaptability leading to re-evaluations of previous methods.
The “TCP Sustainability Forum” has proved their commitment and dedication to sustainability within their practices. TCP has also created the “TCP Outstanding Supplier Award” which recognised 6 of their suppliers during the event and allowed them to delve into their mindsets and strategies. This represents the importance TCP places on collaboration with their suppliers, helping and encouraging them seek to create the same type of change as themselves.
