Portugal,January 28,2026…The members of SD Perspectives Challenges found this shop in Lisbon.
It sold products upcycled from threw away packages such as milk cartons, coffee sachets, snack packages, toothpaste tubes, and vinyl banners. The products were colorful and so cute. I wanted to buy everything!!

No worries!! The seller mentioned these toothbrushes were donated by a toothbrush company. They were unused as they were all samples.

The seller explained that only 20% of waste in Portugal was recycled. So, the shop decided to transform these high-quality and durable packages to eco-friendly and uniquely designed products, instead of letting them end up in landfills.
The shop sources such packages through donations from communities in order to ensure that waste gets its second life as stylish upcycled products. The donations can be done through the P2P Program where individuals drop off their unwanted packages at the shop, or the GoGreenCorporate Program where companies interested in sustainability participate by donating items to the shop.

This one is DIY. You can match the bag body and the flap as you like.
OhâĶ Almost forgot to mention, the shop is called âGarbagsâ. Just in case any of you have a chance to visit Lisbon and want to stop by to check it out or do some shopping. ðð
